While I regularly design regional soccer logos, area soccer logos are few and far between.  The difference between the two is that  in the soccer world, areas cover more ground and encompass multiple regions. The Area logos can also have a much more rigorous approval process as they may need to be approved by all the included regions.

My concept proof  sheet for this one got great reviews both internally and forn the area, so I decided to include mock-ups of my three favorites
